The iPaq rx1955 targets the low end of the PDA market. The slow CPU and the low amount of internal memory are chosen to make it rather inexpensive. Fortunatly there is WiFi onboard. For $299,00, however, there are many PDA alternatives with more CPU power, more internal memory and more features.
When you live in the US, you should be aware of the warranty. The retail version has only 90 days of parts and labor. This is rather short especially since the rest of the world gets a whole year.
